I’ve had a camera for as long as I can remember - without giving my exact age away, when I Googled ‘cameras of the 70’s’ there it was, my first little Kodak Instamatic! Photography is my passion - sometimes I feel as though I can see the world through the lens of a camera, whether I have one with me or not.
When a close friend of mine asked if I'd take some photographs of Nicola together with her horse Major, as a birthday gift, I immediately accepted the challenge. The request coincided with me reading what turned out to be the most inspiring article by Emily Hancock, which I saw headlined as 'PORTRAITS - Horses & Owners' on the front cover of Photography Monthly magazine.
I am truly grateful to Rosie for giving me that opportunity to discover the joy I experienced in being able to portray in my images, the remarkable relationship between horses and their owners. To witness that chemistry is a truly beautiful thing.

“When your horse follows you without being asked, when he rubs his head on yours and when you look at him and feel a tingle down your spine... you know you are loved.”

"Chris Took Some Gorgeous Photos Of My Much Loved Horse Last Year. Not Only Was I Delighted With The Results But She Had Achieved The Impossible In Making Major And I Look Positively Photogenic! I Would Urge Anyone To Book A Session With Chris - Apart From It Being A Fun Exercise - She Is Wonderful At Creating Great Photos Which Go To Make Up A Precious Record Of You And Your Horse; Something To Be Treasured."
